No, it’s not. Cardio has its place, but it's something I hardly ever recommend for fat loss.
Cardio is not as necessary as a lot of other fitness gurus would have you believe.
Exercise is great, but the idea that heart-pounding, sweat-drenching cardio leads to fat loss needs a serious makeover.
Exercise should elevate your well-being, not deplete it.
Which is why we're going to focus on resistance training to boost your metabolism and of course, have rest days too!
“Low fat/no salt/ low calories/no meat are the way to weight loss”❌
Raise your hand if you’ve ever jumped on the hate-carbs train or chugged the “a plant-based diet is the only way to go” Kool-aid.
Here’s the thing …
Carbs are not the enemy. Especially when we're talking good, nutrient-dense carbs. Excluding entire food groups and lumping everyone into one dietary basket isn't quite fair, or scientific.
It’s NOT about cutting calories but considering the quality of those calories, the nutritional value they pack, and the overall health of our metabolism.
A true approach to health incorporates these nuances, recognizes that under-eating might be a recipe for hormonal chaos, and promotes a balanced, sustainable way of living and thriving.
Good nutrition is more about embracing variety and respecting our body's unique needs over arbitrarily deciding what food groups to cut out entirely from our lives.
